It is very well-known place in india due to a great saint named Sai Baba Who was well known Sain, Sant, Fakir , Satguru etc. There is a beautiful and famous temple of this Fakir named Sai temple. Every day thousands of people come to Shirdi only to have visit to this temple .

Saibaba OF Shirdi also Known as Shirdi ke sai baba was an indian spiritual master . He was Saint, Fakir and satguru. His devotees were both Hindu and Muslim . it remained uncertain that he was Hindu or Muslim .
Sai Baba is worshiped by people all around the world . He had no love towards perishable things. His sole concern was self-realization . His message was to spread love , forgiveness, helping others , inner peace and evotion to other dharma gurus . He did'nt belive in any cast or any religion . Sai baba tought us spirituality from both religions Hindu and muslim . He gave name Dwarkamayi to a mosque where he was living . He practiced Muslim rituals but was burries as a hindu in Shirdi . One of his famous line was "Sab ka Malik Ek"

If we talk about Sai Baba's real name and his background , i mean about his history like birth , birthplace these all information are unknown and when ever he was asked about these questions or about his persnal life questions he always gave elusive responses . The name 'Sai' was given to him after his arrival in Shirdi by a local saint of Mahalsapati temple because he recognized him as a muslim saint so he greeted him with the words 'Ya Sai ' , It means wel-come Sai . Sai or Sayi is Persian title to given Saints. It means Poor Saint . And the Baba means in Indian culture Old man or father or grandfather .
If we saw in early years according to book sai Satcharita Baba arrived to Shirdi when he was 16 years old. He practiced meditation under the neem tree motionlessly , the people of town were shocked to see so young boy practicing this type of very tough penance withouth fearing of any cold or hit , night or day . Some thought he was mad so throw stones at him . Ther is some information that he met many saints and fakir , He claimed that he had been part of Rani Laxmi Bai army durring the Indian Rebellion of 1857 . Sai Baba lived in Shirdi first three years then he disappeared for feaw years and again retuned and stayed here his whole life .

The present sai temple Shirdi is spread aaround 200sq mtrs, situated in center of the village named Shirdi . It is also center of the attraction of the devotees all around the world . Every day aproximately more than 25000 thousands of devotees visit the village shirdi to have the darshan of sai baba . Durring the festival time more than 1 lac vistiros visits the place per day . The temple was renovated durring 1998-99 and now equiped with all basic facilities like Darshan lane , Prasadalay , donation counter , Prasad counter , Railway reservation counter, Book stall canteen etc . The acomodation facility also provided by the Sansthan .
